Ads Manager User Guide

Follow these steps to get started using the Cardlytics Ads Manager.

Overview

Cardlytics Ads Manager is our ad campaign management and reporting platform that provides marketers with the tools and capabilities they need to reach Cardlytics' unique audience.

Using Ads Manager, marketers have access to reporting and performance controls necessary to meet their KPIs with advanced targeting products, ROAS controls, and a suite of reporting dimensions to view campaign results and optimize for outcomes.

How It Works

Cardlytics customers can access a reporting suite with filters to provide customized views of their campaign performance as well as campaign optimization tools, if their campaigns qualify.

There are two components of Ads Manager:

  • Campaign Reporting (available to all Cardlytics advertising customers)
  • Campaign Optimization and Forecasting (available only to Cardlytics advertising customers who are participating in CPE engagement pricing campaigns)

How To Access Ads Manager

Reach out to your client success manager to request Ads Manager access. Once you’ve requested access, your Cardlytics contact will create an account for you, and you'll receive an invite email that includes your temporary credentials and the link to the site.

NOTE: Your email will come from [[email protected]]. Check your spam folder for any emails from this address.

NOTE: Accept your invite within 30 days of receipt, otherwise it will need to be reissued.

Get Started

Once you log in to Ads Manager, you’ll land on this Campaign Performance page, shown below..

Campaign Performance Grid

Understanding the Campaign Performance Grid

Underneath each Campaign Name is a View Report button.

  • When you click this button, you’ll be automatically sent to the reporting tool filtered for this particular campaign.
  • A column labeled Type is used for differentiating between the new Cardlytics Dynamic Marketplace campaigns (i.e., “Dynamic”) and the normal campaigns you have run with Cardlytics in the past (i.e., “Fixed”).
    • You can also filter by campaign type here.
  • If your campaign is a "Dynamic" type, you can hover over the campaign name to find an Optimize action button that takes you to the Optimization screen where you can make in-flight changes to campaigns. (More details are available later in the guide.)
  • High-level performance metrics are available on this tab, but you can go to the reporting tool to see all available metrics.
  • Reports are accessible for specific campaigns by hovering over the campaign name and clicking the View Report action button, or you can use the Reporting section on the page header to create your own reports.

Feedback

Feedback is always welcome! Be sure to reach out to your client success manager when you have feedback so that our product teams can consider it and work to make changes in support of your suggestions.

At the bottom of each page you'll find an option to comment. Be sure to enter your comments in the box provided. We want to hear from you regarding changes, fixes and updates to our technical content.
