Q. How and when are offers assigned by Cardlytics to users? For example, if a client or partner approves a new offer for a merchant and the offer becomes available for a customer at midnight, at what point does the offer get assigned to the user in the Cardlytics backend?

A. Segmentation and assignment are calculated in real-time on every request. In addition, we have a process that assigns offers to users and stores that assignment. We determine the eligibility population offline before each campaign starts. Then as the customer comes in, in real-time, we determine the final list of offers to return for that customer on every request based on multiple contextual signals.
